Professional Empowerment Strengthens the Foundations of Quality Management — The Company Hosts an FMEA Training on Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis

2025-04-30

To comprehensively enhance the team’s ability to anticipate and manage risks during the design phase and further strengthen the company’s quality management system, the company successfully conducted an FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) training session on April 20. The training was led by Mr. Cao Shugen, a seasoned quality‑management expert, and was attended by more than 40 participants, including core members from the R&D, Process Engineering, and Quality Assurance departments, as well as cross‑functional employee representatives.

With the widespread adoption of the new FMEA standard, the company has come to deeply recognize that accurately identifying potential failure risks in the design phase and establishing a systematic preventive mechanism are key to continuously delivering value to customers. This training session centered on the core logic of the seven-step approach of the new FMEA, integrating practical applications of tools such as boundary diagrams, parameter diagrams, and failure‑chain analysis to systematically dissect the critical implementation points across the entire process—from structural analysis and functional definition to risk optimization. Through a variety of interactive formats—including simulated exercises, case studies, and team‑based competitions—participants gained an in-depth understanding of core competencies such as the SOD (Severity, Occurrence, Detection) scoring methodology and the development of action prioritization criteria.

During the training, Instructor Cao used real-world examples such as “functional tree decomposition” and “failure‑mode chain analysis” to guide participants in progressively developing structured thinking, while also offering optimization recommendations tailored to the company’s existing product‑design scenarios. Participants commented: “This course not only clarified the logical framework of the new‑version FMEA but also provided practical, implementable tool templates, making it highly instructive for our day‑to‑day work.”

Going forward, the company will continue to adopt cutting-edge management tools and methodologies to strengthen end-to-end product lifecycle management, thereby continuously enhancing the capabilities and competencies of both the organization and its employees as we deliver value to our customers.
